Adrian Arthur Teeter

Anchorage resident, Adrian Arthur Teeter, 84, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at his home in Anchorage.

Adrian was born October 11, 1941 in Syracuse, New York. The son of Edwin and Thelma (McConnell) Teeter, he grew up on the family farm near Cortland, New York, graduating from high school there.  He enlisted in the US Air Force.  While serving in the Air Force, he met and married Sayoko Tomosada.  During his 20 year military career, he served in Okinawa, Japan, Michigan, Vietnam, South Dakota and eventually in Alaska    Prior to his military retirement, he also took a part-time job as a mechanic.  After his military service concluded, he attended Anchorage Community College graduating with a degree in Diesel Technology. He eventually opened and operated a mechanic shop for 14 years.  He later was employed with the Air Force Corps of Engineers doing maintenance work for 20 years until his retirement. 

Adrian is survived by his children, Debra White of Deary, ID and Dana and Steven Teeter, both of Anchorage, his grandchildren, Kristen, April, Alec, Austin and Yumiko and his great grandchildren, River, Gannon, Zelda, Kaizen, and Koa.

He is preceded in death by his wife, and his parents.
