Carl George Schmidt, age 65, passed away on November 7, 2025.

 

Born October 5, 1960, Carl was the fourth child of the late Wallace Schmidt and Eloise Roehm.  Carl was raised in Parsippany, New Jersey with his four siblings, graduating from Parsippany Hills High School in 1979. 

 

Carl moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1980 where he spent time with family and friends and worked in the food service industry at various establishments in Anchorage. 

 

Carl is survived by his siblings Eric Schmidt, Lisa Reed (and husband Marshel), and Kirie Paddy; his nieces and nephews Vaughn Reed, Jessica Rushbrook, Vanessa Paddy, Tara Pike, and Erick Paddy; and great nieces and nephews Sam, Jake, Conner, Charleigh, Emma, Reed, Cruz, Canaan, Corban, Nick, Caius, and Jack. He is preceded in death by his parents and oldest sister, Karen.

 

Among Carl’s interests were cooking, fishing, history, nature, and art. He engaged in several artistic endeavors including painting and making apple dolls. Carl loved animals, especially his beloved dogs, Lucky and Rocky. He had many friends throughout the years, and he will be missed.
