Wanda Iorio

Longtime Alaska resident, Wanda Iorio, 78 passed away February 6, 2015 at St. Elias Specialty Hospital. Wanda was born July 14, 1936 in Watson, Oklahoma. She moved to Alaska in 1967 where she found a place to express her pioneering artistic ability and great business savvy. Her love for people, crafts, the state of Alaska, helped her build lifelong friendships. Wanda's faith in God kept her involved in the church and community. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Edna Lorene (Johnson) Moyer; sons, Gary McCombs and Kyte Rouse; brothers, David Moyer and Ives Moyer; and sisters, Maxine Davies and Geraldine Marshall. Wanda is survived by her son, Curtis McCombs, Rathdrum, Idaho; daughter, Connie McCombs, Four Lakes, WA; sister, Yvonne Conklin, Kingston, Idaho; seven grandchildren and one great grandson, as well as nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27 at the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery, Ninth and Fairbanks. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Cattle Company , corner of C Street and Tudor Rd.
