Mark Douglas Davidson

Longtime Anchorage resident, Mark D. Davidson, 57 passed away Saturday April 30, 2016 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Alaska Cook Inlet Funeral Home, 7216 Lake Otis Pkwy, Anchorage AK 99507. A committal service will be held at Fort Richardson National Cemetery on Friday, June 3rd at 9:00 am. Services are pending Mark was born May 5, 1958 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He came to live with his adoptive parents, Dale and Esther Davidson at the age of 3 months. Mark spent his youth and adult years residing since 1968 in Anchorage. He attended Turnagain Elementary School, Romig Junior High, and graduated from West High School. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy. Mark graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1997. He worked for many years as a Funeral Director and was the founder and owner of Cook Inlet Funeral Home & Cremation in 2004 until illness required him to retire from active participation. For the past nine years, he has been associated with the Cremation Society of Alaska and Alaska Cook Inlet Funeral Services as a Staff Funeral Director. He will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Dale and Esther Davidson, sister, Ann and her husband, Curtis Crocker; his daughter, Miranda Bazaldua; five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Anchorage. Th family wishes to thank all of Mark's lifelong and loyal friends for their support and prayers during this time of sorrow.
