June Elaine Anderson

June ("Mam", "Junie") Anderson was born April 22, 1934 in Cordova, Alaska to Thomas and Elizabeth Foode. In her earlier years, she worked at the local drugstore in Cordova and started her training to become a CPA (Certified Public Accountant). Then in 1954, she married Charles ("Chuck", "Poppa") Anderson. A few years later they moved to Seattle, Washington and she worked for Boeing as a Junior Accountant. From Seattle, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska. In Anchorage, she worked for RCA Company as an Accountant. After the 1964 Earthquake, moved to Kodiak for a while and then moved to Fairbanks. While in Fairbanks, she worked for the Tanana Chiefs Native Corporation. In the 1980's, 'Mam' and 'Poppa' moved to Anchorage and she worked for Chugachmiut and IHS (Indian Health Service) until she retired. 'Mam' is survived by daughters, Elizabeth and Paula; one son, Tim; grandsons, Jimmy, Dmitri and Aleric; granddaughter, Stephanie; great grandson, Cameron; and several nieces and nephews.
