Ruth Ellen Fassler

Ruth E. Fassler was 76 years old. She raised five children and two grandchildren, and has helped out with countless strays along the way. This was no ordinary woman. The amount of strength and persistence this woman portrayed was astonishing. There was nothing that could take her down: A survivor of breast cancer and a hard-working woman that has provided for others until the day she could not. She would give you everything she had just to see you happy. She absolutely loved her grandchildren: Sunny, Roechele, Tarrah, Mikel and Melodey. She loved her great-grandchildren: Tiahna, Brooklyn, Kimber, Emma and Rex Jr. She was comical, witty, smart and hardworking. She is loved by so, so, so many. I am thankful she can rest peacefully. She has given me so many memories that I will cherish and hold dear to my heart forever. Thank you, Grandma, for giving me everything; thank you for giving me hope; thank you for always standing in my corner; thank you for being there when I fell, thank you for being the best person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and loving. I will always miss you and will think of you every day. Celebration of life will be held at American Legion, 21426 Old Glenn Highway, Chugiak, AK 99567, starting at 5 p.m.
