Sandra Jeanne Frenz

Anchorage resident, Sandra Jeanne Frenz, 77, passed away November 25, 2025, at Providence Alaska Medical Center. 

 

Sandra was born April 25, 1948, in Anchorage, Alaska. She grew up in Anchorage, graduating from West High School in 1966.  Sandra married Robert Frenz on June 4, 1966.  Over the years, the couple lived in San Diego, CA, Seattle, WA, Yokosuka, Japan before returning to Anchorage, Alaska in February 1975. Sandra worked for the Anchorage School District from 1975 until retiring in 2003.  She was a member of Anchorage Lutheran Church.

 

Sandra enjoyed bird watching, square dancing, and activities with the computer.

 

Her family wrote: "Sandi was a devoted wife and exceptional mother. Her smile lit up the room. She loved deeply and generously. She participated in many of her church's activities. She assisted her mother, Yvonne, as Yvonne grew older. She stood by her husband, Bob, while he was in the U.S. Navy and school. She will be deeply missed."

 

Sandi is survived by her husband, Robert D Frenz of Anchorage and her son, Robert D Frenz II of Phoenix, AZ.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Yvonne Krotke and her brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Gail Krotke.
