William Francis Kelly

William Francis Kelly of Anchorage passed away from heart complications on March12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.Bill was born in Troy Grove Il. on July 15, 1939, to Thomas and Lucy Kelly. He was thesixth child in his family of nine boys and one girl. He came to Alaska in 1960 where he marriedthe love of his life, Mary Ann (sweet pea) Frohlich. Together they had three children, fivegrandchildren, three great grandchildren and were married for an outstanding 59 years.He spent his younger years attending Holy Cross grade school, Saint Bede Academy,and local university where he was voted MVP of his football team.Bill was in the army reserves and the national guard. He was also a 60-year member ofLaborers Local 341 and American Legion Post 28. He owned/operated numerousbusinesses, Alaska Dairy Products, Mr. Prime Beef, and Alaska Canadian Big Dog toname a few. Bill enjoyed air boating, hunting, and fishing/canning. He especially lovedsitting in his garage with his oldest son Frank, enjoying a cigar and some Hawaiianmusic while processing his game.Caswell Lakes, a very special place his youngest son Jason introduced him to, is whereBill spent every summer in the later years of his life. Surrounded by his family, friends,pets, and the beautiful sounds of the Loons is where he felt most at peace. Bill loved tosit next to the lake and watch the swallows glide, and the beavers slap their tails… thistruly was his heaven on earth.Bill is survived by: (wife) MaryAnn, (brothers/sister) Tommy/Rita, Pat/Marge, Dick/Judy,and Mary Lou, (children) Frank/Michelle, Cristin/Jackie, and Jason/Audrey.Grandchildren William/Amanda, Makayla/Nick, Frankie, Chevelle, and Leven.Great grandchildren Stella, Emma, and Alice, as well as numerous other nieces, andnephews.Much loved dog LucyCelebration of Life to be Announced.
