Floyd "Terry" Wood

Floyd Terry Wood, 75, passed away at his home in Wasilla, Alaska on January 28, 2020. He was known by his middle name, Terry. Terry was born on July 27, 1944 to Joseph and Margaret (Terry) Wood in Everett, Washington. He was born into a large family, having three sisters and four brothers. Terry moved to Alaska from Montana in 1958 with his parents. Sometime after that he had moved to California and back to Montana and eventually back to Alaska. Terry worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He and his wife, Nancy, lived in Fox, Alaska where he was a diesel mechanic and also drove pilot car for heavy equipment. From Fox, he and Nancy moved to Wasilla, Alaska where he drove a motor-coach tour bus, picking up passengers from the Anchorage airport. He would transport the passengers to Seward and other destinations in Alaska. At this time, he was also the mechanic for these motor-coaches. He retired in 2008. Terry is survived by his sons; Edwin Wood (Anchorage, AK) and Troy Wood (Butte, MT) and by his daughter, Kimberly Robinson (Missoula, MT) and his step-daughter, Karen Davidson (Palmer, AK), six granddaughters, three grandsons, three great granddaughters, one great grandson, and six great-great grandsons along with his siblings and friends from Montana, Nevada, Washington and Alaska. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Wood, his brother, Jesse Wood, his daughter Teri Jean Forrester, and his loving wife, Nancy Wood.
