12 de abril de 1948 - 1 de abril de 2015

William M. Lane (Bill) passed away at home in his sleep on Wednesday, April 1st, just 12 days before his 67th birthday. Bill was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 12th, 1948. He graduated with an Academic Diploma from Arsenal Technical High School in 1966 where he participated in and received many honors in the ROTC. He also joined and excelled in all of the vocal music programs offered at the school. Bill was very musically gifted and could play piano and 8-string guitar. Soon after graduating from high school, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and completed four years of training while stationed in San Diego and Twenty-nine Palms, California. He attended Palomar College in San Marcos, California, and the Tanana Valley Campus of the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Bill's childhood years were spent living in Indianapolis, Rapid City, South Dakota, and Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bill was a great lover of all animals and will be fondly remembered for having a wonderful sense of humor, a keen wit, and always a corny joke to share. In addition to many friends and former co-workers, Bill will be dearly missed by his children Caitlin, Christopher, Joshua, Nathan, Sarah, Trisha, and Will, their mother CynDee, his wife Marcia, his mother Mildred (Midge), his sisters Vicki (husband Doug) and Peggy, step-brother and sister Jim and Chris, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves his beloved dog and companion Tippy. He made many online "Aussie" friends he loved talking with and who have shared their condolences. Bill is reunited with his father, William, and four brothers: David, Jimmy, Greg and Terry. Services will be conducted privately among family members.
