4 juin 1932 - 10 mars 2022

Jessica Henry passed on from this life on March 10, 2022. Jessie was born in Hertfordshire, England, in 1932, to Frederick and Florence Tilson. She moved to Idaho in 1953. Jessie married Charles Ralph "Chuck" Henry in 1961, which took her to Alaska when Chuck went to work for the state as a surveyor. They lived around Southeast Alaska before coming to Anchorage in 1973. Charles died in 1977, and Jessie married her brother-in-law Van Ramond "Ray" Henry, a widower. Jessie was an avid dog lover who owned five poodles when she arrived in Anchorage. She enjoyed going to dog shows and she belonged to the Anchorage Kennel Club for a while. She took up the hobby of researching dog pedigrees for a few years until health problems stopped that. Jessie and Ray enjoyed dancing and berry picking as well as gardening, growing vegetables and flowers. Both were interested in genealogy, and they spent over 15 years looking up family history in the U.S. and England. Jessie had been a member of Women of the Moose since 1975. Jessie is preceded in death by husbands, Chuck Henry and Ray Henry; parents, Frederick and Florence Tilson; and sisters, Sadie (Alf) Ryde, Kitty (James) Condor and Iris (Bill) Huckle. She is survived by nephews and nieces: Terry (Jean) Ryde, Stephen (Carol) Huckle and Linda (Brian) Arnold. She also leaves behind her beloved chihuahua, Punky. A celebration of Jessie's life will be held at 2 p.m., on April 3, 2022, at the Moose Lodge on Arctic Boulevard in Anchorage
