John Curtin

6 avril 1957 - 22 février 2014

6 avril 1957 - 22 février 2014

John Francis Curtin 56 "Big John" passed away February 22, 2014 at home. Services will be held at the Peanut Farm March 9, 2014, from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. in the side room. John was born April, 6, 1957 in San Francisco, CA, to Willie and John Curtin, and raised in Rohnert Park, California. John was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Curtin; and father, John Curtin Sr.; he is survived by his beloved daughter, Kasey Curtin; mother, Willie Bedient; sister, Debbie her husband Steve; and brothers, Mike and Stevie. Growing up John played football all the way from Pop Warner to High School as a linebacker, and enjoyed all of his days playing football. In 1993, John moved to Alaska with his children to run a family business. The most important part of Johns life were his children, who he bowled with, played catch with, and taught that its not about what you say, but rather what you do. "Actions Speak Louder Than Words." Helping his son Johnny work on trucks, along with his baseball and football skills, while yelling at the girls to pipe down from his couch, while he watched "his shows" like an old retired woman, were the heart and soul of Johns life. John enjoyed having breakfast with his friends, his snack foods: BBQ Chips, Cheez-its, Salami and Crackers; and boy did he have a sweet tooth: ding dongs, mothers striped short bread cookies; John loved a full belly! John worked for Carlile since 2001, where he started out working in the yard, and moved on to driving trucks. John loved his job, and the people he worked with. John will always be remembered for his kind heart, loud voice, his Mr. Social personality, and his willingness to help those that he loved, unconditionally.
