Carol Ann Tate-McCarter, 53, of Anchorage, Alaska, became an angel in heaven on May 9, 2013. Born May 15, 1959 in Torrance, California, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert James (aka: Bill and Skipper) Hillenbrand and Bobbie Ann Hillenbrand. She will be loved and remembered by her husband, Michael McCarter; son Gary Tate of Pomona, CA; daughter Virginia Tate of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren: Serena, Alina, Savanah, Donovan, Jayden and Elijah; two great-grandchildren, Melody and Marie; a sister, Linda Nelson-Ochoa and a brother, David Hillenbrand and many other family members and friends. A Memorial Service is planned for: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25th, 2013 at Anchorage Baptist Temple 6401 E. Northern Lights Blvd., Anchorage, AK 99504 (907) 333-6535. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Carol's name to Anchorage Baptist Temple or to Friends of Pets. Arrangements were entrusted to the Cremation Society of Alaska.
