Linda Houle Gordon

Anchorage resident, Linda H. Gordon, 83, passed away Saturday June 27, 2026 at Centennial Post Acute in Anchorage.

 

A Private Family Gathering will be held.

 

Linda was born March 21,1943 in Kingwood, NJ to William and Elizabeth (Gero) Houle.  She was a 1961 graduate of Bradford Academy in Bradford, VT and later in 1962 attended Champlain Business. Linda married James G. Gordon on May 11,1963 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bradford, VT.  Over the years, while James served in the U.S. Air Force, the family lived at Carswell AFB, TX; Lompoc, CA; Anchorage; Rapid City, SD; East Barre, VT, and finally returning to Anchorage in October, 1972.  Working in sales, Linda over the years was employed as a manager with Home Interiors of Alaska and Giant Don’s Carpet.  Linda retired from Giant Don’s in 2011.

 

Linda was a member of St Anthony’s Catholic Church.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening and time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   Her family stated she was a fantastic cook and was known for her special occasion meals including Burritos for Little Leage and Christmas Pizzas.

 

Linda is survived by her husband, James; her three children, Charles, Karen, and Jim; her grandchildren, Amber, Linda, Alisha, Heather, Shaun, and AJ; six great grandchildren; her two sisters, Joyce and Diane and her nieces and nephews.

 

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gloria and one brother, William.

 

Memorial donations can be made in Linda’s memory to the Michael J Fox Foundation, Grand Central Station, PO Box 477, New York, NY 10163.

 

Her cremated remains will be interred at Ft Richardson National Cemetery.
