Carolyn Susan Eaton

Carolyn Susan (Goetz) Eaton was born March 9,1950 in Portland, Oregon and passed away August 11, 2023, in Anchorage, AK after a long illness. Carol was the 4th of 7 children. A true middle child. She grew up in Portland, OR and made lifelong friends that speak fondly about her humor and their connections. Carol and family moved to Alaska in 1972 where they made a home. Carol enjoyed retirement, vacations to places warm, and spending time making memories. Those memories we will all treasure. Carol loved her family fiercely and was there for them always. She was a jokester, loved to laugh, and would dance to Mama Mia even when not feeling well.Carol will be forever remembered by her daughter Patty and son in law Joe Wolf, son Jay and daughter in law Amber Eaton, sisters Pam Reitman, Terri LaLonde (Mark), and Lynn Weisner (John), brothers Don and Ken Goetz, grandchildren Karaina (Mike) Magana, Jason Eaton, Kade Wolf, and Shaelee Eaton. Great-grandchildren Bella, Ezra, Lilah, and Aria Magana, her cat Smokey, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Stella Goetz, her grandson Chad Eaton, her sister Darlene Deeds, and ex-husband Rick Eaton.We will celebrate her life at a memorial service on September 29, 2023, 4:30 pm, at Cremation Society of Alaska, 1306 E. 74th Ave. with a reception to follow at Gallos, 8615 Old Seward Hwy, Anchorage, AK
