Douglas Cornell

Cremation Society of Alaska

Lifelong Alaska resident, Douglas L. Cornell passed away at his home in Anchorage on October 14, 2024 at the age of 63. Doug enjoyed snowmobiling around Skwentna and Petersville with his buddies. He was a true “Parrothead”, loving everything Jimmy Buffett. Doug loved the water, whether commercial fishing in Alaska or taking a Windjammer cruise or scuba diving in warmer temperatures. He is survived by his son, Doug Pitts (Shelby) and their two children; his mother, Jeannette Cornell; his sister, Danita Martin (Tom); and nephews Jared and Andrew Martin. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Cornell. The family plans to take Doug on one last snowmobile ride this winter.
