Jerry Lavern Dickman

17 de febrero de 1939 - 25 de enero de 2022

17 de febrero de 1939 - 25 de enero de 2022

erry "Jack" Lavern Dickman was born in Nebraska, on Feb. 17, 1939, to the late George and Isabelle Dickman, formerly of Kinnear, Wyo. He was preceded in death by his older sister, Vema Larsen of Casper, Wyo., in September 2021. He is survived by his brothers, Robert and Mike of Washington, Larry (Jim) and Gary of Wyoming; sisters, Sally Villers of Aurora, Colo., and Shirley Dickman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews, etc. Jerry grew up on a farm at Kinnear after the family moved there from Nebraska in 1941. Jerry, his brother Mike and school classmate Craig Murray joined the U.S. Army in 1959, and served in Germany from 1960 until discharged in 1962. Jerry then made his way to Alaska, which thereafter he called his home. While Jerry lived in Alaska he became a licensed pilot and at one point owned his own plane. But his favorite obsession was the snowmobile, both professionally and recreationally. He was known as the one to go to if someone had a problem with this sports vehicle. Jerry has requested that a longtime Alaskan friend scatter his ashes at his favorite snowmobile site.
