Andrew Taylor Rygh

Andy Rygh passed away on Feb. 26, 2022, in Anchorage, Alaska. Andy was born to Roger and Merrily Rygh on April 30, 1968. He grew up on the plains surrounding Brandon, S.D. He was the third brother of five: Chris, Tom, Joel (Melissa) and Jon (Kelly). The five Rygh siblings were referred to as the "Band of Brothers." All five brothers live in Anchorage, and have created a close knit community in which everyone was able to enjoy Andy's unique sense of humor. Andy met the love of his life, "Gigi," while attending college at Mankato State University. After attaining a bachelor's degree in business, he and Gigi moved to Anchorage, where he excelled in roofing and insulation sales. Andy and Gigi created a beautiful family with two sons, Fred and Marty, who were his pride and joy. Andy loved his family, friends and dogs. He shared many adventures with them, including cabin time, camping, kayaking and looking for gold in the great Alaska wilderness. Andy was adventurous, kind, soft spoken, creative, funny, loyal and sensitive. His memory will be a blessing to all that knew him. In lieu of donations, his family requests that people spend their goodwill on their loved ones because you might not get a second chance. A memorial is being planned for June 2022, with details to come.
